Hi again!  Thanks for joining me on the next room in our ‘real life’ house tour.  We’ve gone through into the living room today to show you how we live in this room day-to-day.  This room was renovated and resigned just last August and a year later, it is almost exactly the same.

When we began re-diong this room, it was the dining room.  There were tons of reasons why we moved the living room into the dining room.  I wrote about it here.

Regardless, knowing that the room is the same a year later means that it works well for us.  It’s practical and functional for us, but I still love the way it looks.

There are also a few DIYs that I did in this room and still love.  Aside from the work we did beneath the surface – the wall paint (which is Benjamin Moore White Dove) and the old carpet tear out – there are a few little craft projects that I have around as well.  The abstract art piece above the couch, the felt letter board, and the minimal clock to name a few.

If you haven’t gotten a chance yet to see the tour in person – check out my Instagram story from last night where I tour you through this space and show it to you as we live in it daily.

Ivory Geo Pillow  | Black and White Lumbar Pillow | All is Quiet Print | Inked Kumquats | Saint Mary’s Lake | Vittsjo Shelf | Crosby Lamp | Axis Leather Chair | Navy Velvet Sofa | Moroccan Shag Rug | Streamlined Table | Amal Pillow | Faux Fiddle Leaf Fig | Stockholm TV Unit

You can see the whole before and after from back when we actually redesigned this space which goes into much more detail about the work we put into this room.

I hope you are inspired by the space that we find so useful and peaceful in our lives!

  • Gorgeous design choices! That blue couch offers such a lovely pop of colour among the neutral tones, and the textures of your plant choices, the rug, and pillows all add such variety to the room. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

  • I love love that you have an area rug over carpet! I did this with my living room and wasn’t sure that I liked the look of it…. You see more area rugs over wood or tile floors… Living room looks fabulous!
